We found the service was meeting this guidance, which meant people were supported in a way which maximised their dignity, choice and access to their local community.

Staff understood their responsibility to protect people from abuse or poor practice and knew how to report and concerns they had. People’s medicines were managed safely. Staff kept people’s needs under review, including their health, emotional, and communication needs. Feedback from people’s families was listened to and acted upon. Staff understood the importance of gaining people’s consent to their care.
Leaders and staff had a shared culture based on openness and trust. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities and there was a strong sense of teamwork. The provider promoted equality and diversity in its workforce and supported staff wellbeing.
