What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 24 June 2026 (assessment visit 29 April 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of assessment: 13 to 22 May 2026. Frindsbury Hall Care Home provides residential and nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia.
We visited the service on 13 and 15 May 2026. At the time of inspection, there were 51 people living at the service, and accommodation was arranged over three floors.
People told us they received good care. However, there were inconsistencies in how people’s care was assessed, planned and monitored. Risks had been identified, but care plans were not always clearly aligned with assessments and often lacked detailed guidance for staff. Information was not always consistently recorded or accessible, which meant systems did not always support safe and effective care delivery.
Monitoring and governance systems were in place but were not always effective in identifying and addressing these concerns. Issues identified through audits, particularly in relation to care planning and records, had not been consistently embedded or sustained in practice.
Medicines were generally managed safely; however, documentation relating to ‘when required’ medicines was not always sufficiently detailed to support consistent practice.
We did not find evidence of people experiencing harm as a result of these issues. However, the lack of robust systems increased the risk of inconsistent and unsafe care.
The service was clean and well maintained. People told us they felt safe and supported, and staff worked together to provide responsive care.
