Rosedale Court is a residential care home. People in care homes receive accommodation and nursing or personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement. CQC regulates both the premises and the care provided and both were looked at during this inspection. The service provides support to older people and people with nursing care needs, some of whom may be living with dementia. At the time of our inspection there were 81 people using the service.

The inspection was completed to follow up on the last inspection to see if improvements had been made. At the last inspection the service was rated requires improvement and had been in breach of legal regulation in relation to person centred care, safe care and treatment, meeting nutritional and hydration needs and good governance. Improvements were found at this inspection, and the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations.
Care and treatment was planned and delivered to help ensure people's safety and welfare. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
The registered manager and clinical deputy manager had good oversight of the service, they had encouraged a culture of learning and development. There were systems in place to monitor and review care and people’s experience at the service.
