We found the following examples of good practice.
There was clear information for visitors on arrival. Visitors were asked to complete a screening questionnaire and had their temperature checked on arrival. Visitors were asked to wear face masks, undertake a lateral flow test and wash their hands.
There were sufficient stocks of personal protective equipment (PPE) which staff were using appropriately. Staff had undertaken training on putting on and taking off PPE and their competency was checked to ensure this was completed correctly.
Staff undertook regular testing including lateral flow tests prior to entering the building where people lived. Therefore, staff who had tested positive on a lateral flow test were able to leave the site to isolate and had not come in to contact with people and other staff.
