Many staff had worked at the home for several years and had developed positive relationships with people. They treated people with dignity and respect and supported them to make choices about their care and daily lives. People and those important to them were involved in decisions about care and were kept informed about changes affecting them.
The provider worked effectively with healthcare professionals and external partners to ensure people received joined-up care and timely access to specialist support when needed. Staff had the skills and training required to meet people’s needs, and people were supported to maintain their health, wellbeing, independence and safety.
The management team had a clear focus on continuous improvement and had implemented a range of changes to strengthen governance, care planning, risk management and oversight processes. There was evidence of learning from incidents, safeguarding concerns and feedback, with leaders taking proactive action to improve outcomes for people. Staff described a positive and supportive culture where teamwork was valued, and they felt confident raising concerns and contributing ideas for improvement.
