We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

At the time of the assessment, the service was not supporting any autistic people or people with a learning disability, but the provider had regard to ‘Right support, right care, right culture’.

The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulations in relation to compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations.

People received care that was assessed, safe and based on their individual needs. People and those important to them were involved with this process. People were protected from potential abuse as safeguarding procedures were in place and followed. Infection control was considered. Medicines were managed safely. The principles of The Mental Capacity Act (2005) were understood.

People were treated in a kind and caring way by staff they liked and felt comfortable with. Staff were safely recruited and had the skills and knowledge to support people and deliver care at the times people needed it.

There were systems in place to monitor quality of the service. Staff felt listened to and involved with the service. There were systems in place to manage complaints and ensure learning was actioned.
