Care plans and risk assessments were detailed and reflected people’s individual needs, wishes and preferences. Staff supported people to remain independent and make choices about their daily lives.
Staff were recruited, trained and supported in their roles. The service worked well with health and care professionals to respond to people’s changing needs. We identified some gaps in records used to monitor a person’s health. However, the service worked with professionals to manage the risks and the registered manager recognised where improvements were required.
The service had a positive and open culture. Staff spoke highly of the management and felt supported to raise concerns and share ideas. Regular audits, reviews and feedback were used to identify improvements and support learning. This helped the service provide positive outcomes for people.
