About the service
From the Care Quality Commission's inspection report published 8 July 2022. Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
The Windham Croft Centre is a domiciliary care agency providing care and support to people living in their own homes. At the time of the inspection seven young people using the service were receiving personal care. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.
What inspectors found
The service was able to demonstrate how they were meeting the underpinning principles of Right support, right care, right culture.
Right Support People received a service that was safe for them to use and for staff to work in. The quality of the service was regularly reviewed, and changes made to improve people's care and support as required. This was in a way that best suited people. The provider maintained well-established community working partnerships that promoted and enhanced people's quality of life and reduced their social isolation.

Right culture The service leadership and management was transparent with an honest, open and positive culture. The provider's vision and values were clearly defined, and staff understood and followed them. Staff were aware of their responsibilities, accountability and prepared to take responsibility and report any concerns they may have.
People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
