What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 25 February 2026 (assessment visit 19 November 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Dates of the assessment were 12 November 2025, 18 November 2025 and 20 November 2025. Rift Solutions Limited is a domiciliary care agency. The service provides personal care to people living in their own homes for some people living with dementia and some people with learning disabilities. At the time of our assessment the service was providing the regulated activity personal care to 240 people. This was a responsive assessment due to CQC receiving safeguarding concerns and concerns around call times and rotas. We found the provider did not always work well with people to understand and manage risks. We identified some people’s needs were not always met in respect of management of their skin integrity, continence care, nutrition and hydration and falls management. This put people at risk of potential harm to their health and wellbeing. The provider assessed and managed the risk of infection. The provider did not always make sure medicines and treatments were safe and met people’s needs, however, we did not find harm to people. Some safety events were not thoroughly investigated by competent staff and monitored to make sure that action was taken to remedy the situation, prevent further occurrences and make sure that improvements were made as a result. People mainly told us that staff were kind and caring and respected their wishes and choices. We found the provider was in breach of legal regulations safe care and treatment and good governance.
