What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 21 September 2026 (assessment visit 18 August 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
The inspection took place between 19 August and 20 August 2026. Poole Home Care is a domiciliary care service providing a regulated activity of personal care. The service was providing care and support to people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service receive a regulated activity. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this assessment, there were 47 people using the service. Systems and processes were in place which meant people were protected from avoidable harm. There were enough staff, who had the necessary skills and training to provide care. People received their medicines as prescribed and risks to their health and wellbeing had been assessed. Safeguarding procedures were in place. The service learned from accidents, incidents and events. People had access to health and social care professionals to ensure healthcare needs were met. People were involved in their care and records were person centred. Staff were kind and caring, taking into consideration people’s individuality. Governance systems were in place to ensure oversight. The registered manager told us they were committed to providing the best care and their staff team were hard working.
