This assessment was carried out by an inspector. We looked at 26 quality statements. We spoke with people who used the service, their relatives, and staff to seek their views about the service.
This was a planned assessment, and the report only covers our findings in relation to the key questions safe, effective, caring and well-led. For those key questions not inspected, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating.
The last rating for this service was ‘Requires Improvement’ (published 12 February 2020). This assessment was carried out to follow up on actions we told the provider to take at the last inspection.
The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to Need for Consent and Good Governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations. We found mental capacity assessments were being completed. The provider had systems to monitor and improve quality of the service provided.
Improvements were also noted around risk assessment, staff recruitment, staff training, confidentiality and the environment as there were shortfalls in these areas at the last inspection.
