We carried out this assessment to follow up on previous breaches of the legal regulation relating to safe care and treatment and good governance. We assessed a limited number of quality statements relevant to those concerns. At this assessment, we found improvements had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of the legal regulation.

The provider had improved its governance and oversight, management of risks and medicines, infection prevention and control, staff training and support for people's healthcare needs. Leaders had effective systems to monitor the quality and safety of the service and took action when improvements were needed.

People told us they felt safe and well cared for. Relatives were positive about the care provided and were generally positive about staff and the leadership team. Staff understood people's individual needs and knew how to respond to changes in their health and wellbeing.

Care plans and risk assessments provided staff with clear guidance about people's needs and risks. Medicines were managed safely, environmental risks were monitored, and systems were in place to review incidents and accidents and learn from them. Staff worked with healthcare professionals to support people to access the care and treatment they needed.

Leaders were open and responsive throughout the assessment. They reflected on feedback and took action when further opportunities for improvement were identified.
