We found the following examples of good practice.
● When visitors arrived at the home, they completed a Covid-19 screening questionnaire and were immediately asked to wash their hands. Their temperature was also recorded to make sure their visit could take place safely. ● A 'visiting pod' was being constructed in the rear garden to facilitate safe visits in line with current guidance. ● People were supported to maintain contact with people who were important to them such as; telephone and video calls which had a positive effect on their wellbeing. ● The provider had implemented a system to share information called 'better together' which encouraged sharing of positive news stories across the organisation. ● Cleaning schedules had been increased and a deep clean of the home using specialist cleaning equipment had taken place shortly before our visit. Use of the specialist equipment meant areas that were difficult to clean had been sanitised.
