There was a positive and inclusive culture within the service led by an effective management team. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive to staff. A suite of audits was in place to manage and monitor the service. However, we found some strengthening of environmental and care plan auditing was needed. Managers investigated incidents thoroughly and reported them as required to the relevant agencies.

The environment and equipment met people’s needs safely. Infection prevention and control measures were effective. The service was clean, and well-maintained with plans in place to improve outside spaces. Medicines were managed safely.
