We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities which most people take for granted.

We gathered information from people who used the service, relatives, the registered manager, care staff, and health and social care partners.

People received individualised support based on their assessed needs, goals and aspirations. Support was planned, delivered and regularly reviewed in partnership with people, their relatives and relevant professionals. Support was person-centred and focused on ensuring people had choice and control in their daily lives.

Staffing levels and recruitment practices had improved since our last inspection. We found there were always enough staff on duty to promptly meet people’s needs. Risks to people were understood and managed effectively to reduce the likelihood of harm. Staff knew how to safeguard people and protect their well-being.

The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to the governance of the service. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of this regulation.
