At the time of the assessment 87 people were receiving regulated support.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates the personal care and support that people may receive. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care and nursing care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

People were supported to stay safe. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities, acted quickly to report concerns and worked with other professionals to protect people from avoidable harm. Risks were assessed and managed in a way which promoted independence, and systems such as audits, incident monitoring and digital call tracking supported a positive learning culture. Medicines and infection prevention and control were managed safely, and there were enough skilled and trained staff to meet people’s needs.

People experienced effective care which achieved positive outcomes. Assessments were thorough and regularly reviewed, with people, families and professionals involved. Staff worked well with healthcare services to ensure coordinated care and supported people to maintain their health and wellbeing. Consent processes were understood and followed, and people were supported to make their own decisions wherever possible.

The service provided exceptionally caring support. People were consistently treated with kindness, dignity and respect, and staff developed strong, meaningful relationships. Care was highly personalised, with innovative approaches used to meet people’s preferences and support their independence. People were empowered to make choices and had control over their care, contributing to improved wellbeing and confidence.

Care was responsive to people’s needs. People received flexible, person-centred support from consistent staff teams who knew them well. Communication was tailored and inclusive, with effective use of technology to keep people and families informed and involved. Feedback was encouraged and used to improve the service.

The provider had a positive and open culture. Leaders were approachable and supportive, and staff felt able to raise concerns. Governance systems were effective in monitoring quality and driving improvement. Exceptionally strong partnership working and a focus on highly driven innovation supported continuous learning and improved outcomes for people. Overall, the service delivered high-quality, person-centred care with a strong culture of compassion and continuous improvement.
