What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 9 January 2026 (assessment visit 9 December 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of assessment: 16 December 2025
Prestige Care Support Ltd provides care and support to people living in their own home. Not everyone using Prestige Care Support Ltd received regulated activity; the CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with ‘personal care’; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. At the time of this inspection, there were 83 people using the service.

This assessment was carried out by an inspector. We looked at 15 quality statements as part of this assessment. We spoke with people who used the service, their relatives, and staff to seek their views about the service.
This was a planned assessment, and the report only covers our findings in relation to the key questions safe and well-led. For those key questions not inspected, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating.
The last rating for this service was ‘requires improvement’ (published 7 November 2024). This assessment was carried out to follow up on action we told the provider to take at the last inspection.
At our last inspection, we found robust safeguarding systems were not in place. Staff had not completed key training to perform their role effectively such as on catheter care. Risk assessments were not in place to ensure people received safe care particularly around eating and drinking and catheter care. Measures were not in place to minimise the risks of infection and to learn from lessons following incidents. There was not an effective quality assurance system in place to identify shortfalls and act on them to ensure people were safe.
During this assessment, we found people were safeguarded from abuse or harm and staff understood how to keep them safe. There were systems in place for the monitoring and prevention of infection. The registered manager investigated any accident or incident and took action to reduce the risk of further occurrence and keep people safe. People had risk assessments which explained risks and the actions staff needed to take to reduce them. Staff received appropriate training and support to help them in their roles. The provider had system in place to assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of the services provided.
