Safe
Good
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way which was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. Staff had been supported to complete training and develop the skills they needed to support people safely. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Staff were employed following the appropriate recruitment checks being completed.
-
Effective
Good
The service worked with people to provide care that was person centred and promoted people’s health wellbeing and independence. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
-
Caring
Good
Care was person-centred and promoted people’s dignity, privacy and human rights. Care was focused on supporting people to remain independent. Staff supported people to engage in their local community and maintain relationships with friends and family. Where people required specialist equipment staff made referrals to the appropriate healthcare professionals to have these needs met.
-
Responsive
Good
People were placed at the centre of their care and support needs. Staff ensured people had access to healthcare and support to maintain their wellbeing. When support needs changed referrals were made to specialist for further advice such as the learning disability team or occupational therapists. When needed the service worked with advocacy services to support people in managing and understanding their care and treatment.
