This was a comprehensive assessment of the service covering all the key questions and quality statements.

We have rated the service as good.

People were protected from abuse and avoidable harm. Staff understood safeguarding, assessed and managed risks and followed safe medicines and infection‑prevention practices. Recruitment, training, supervision and spot checks helped ensure staff were safe and competent.

Care was effective and person‑centred. Assessments were detailed and kept up to date. Staff worked with people, relatives and professionals to plan and review care, promoted independence and monitored for any signs of deterioration so support could be adjusted promptly. People and relatives told us staff were reliable, communicated well and responded quickly when support was needed.

People experienced caring and responsive support. Relatives consistently described staff as patient, kind and respectful. Reasonable adjustments, including multilingual staff and translated care plans, supported people’s communication, cultural and religious needs. Care was well coordinated, flexible around people’s routines and reviewed regularly with people and their families.

The service was well led. The registered manager was visible, supportive and promoted an open learning culture. Governance systems, including audits, incident reviews and regular contact with staff and families, were used to monitor quality and drive improvement.
