An assessment has been undertaken of a specialist service that is used by autistic people or people with a learning disability. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
Improvements were required to peoples care records, including care plan, risk assessments and medicines records. This was a recording concern and we found no harm to people. People were safeguarded from the risk of abuse. People were supported by enough suitably trained staff and staff were recruited safely. People, relatives, staff and partners told us the service was well led and they felt listened to. People and relatives told us staff supported them in a caring and dignified way and responsive to their needs. People and relatives told us they were supported by staff who knew them well and understood their individualised needs.
